Hello and welcome to
Just Like Home!Our Philosophy
We take pride in offering quality programs for all age groups. We believe that the first five years of a child’s life are very important to his/her future growth and development. It is our mission to provide a safe and nurturing yet stimulating and fun environment that fosters interest, curiosity, social, emotional, and intellectual learning skills necessary for positive growth. We want your child to feel safe enough to try new things, learn about themselves and those around them, explore their world and develop a positive self-concept. When they move on to elementary school, we hope they take with them a thirst for knowledge, effective learning skills, a strong curiosity, and an ability to work well with others.

Family owned and operated in the Valley since 1989.
Just Like Home Daycare & Preschool is a small family-owned business who opened its first location in Phoenix in 1989. We have since opened an additional location in Mesa and now Scottsdale. We accept infants through school-age children up to 12 years old on a part-time or full-time basis.
Just Like Home is licensed and regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) – Division of Licensing, the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department and the Arizona Department of Education Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) which ensures nutritious meals and snacks are served. We are also happy recipients of grants, services and scholarships provided by First Things First, Arizona’s early childhood agency that supports the development, health, and early education of young children.

Our Staff
We maintain a full-time staff of teachers, many who have been with us for years. All employees have fingerprint clearance and background checks through the Department of Public Safety. Our teachers are TB skin tested, have at least 18 hours of training per year, food handler’s cards, and are CPR/First Aid trained.

Parent Involvement
Parents are always welcome at Just Like Home. In fact, we have an open-door policy. This means that we encourage you to feel free to visit at any time during business hours. Parents who want to volunteer, hang out, or eat lunch with their child are always welcome. We are proud of our curriculum and staff.

Special Needs & Development
Just Like Home accepts children with hearing impairments, language, learning or developmental delays and other minor disabilities which do not require special facilities, training, or treatment. Each facility is an equal opportunity provider and we do not discriminate against any person regardless of race, color, creed, or nationality. We have access to many programs, coaches and speech, occupational, physical, and mental health therapists. If you feel like your child is falling behind developmentally, we can arrange for your child to be evaluated by a specially trained therapist.

My 2.5 and 5 year olds both go here and we could not be happier!!! From the front staff to the kids’ teachers, they are friendly and soooo helpful. I love the curriculum they are teaching.
Absolutely love this daycare! I was so scared to put my children in daycare but Just like home too made it easy and comfortable! My kids love the place and the teachers. knowing that I can work comfortably and at ease with out worrying makes leaving my children a little easier. This place has been so good to us , I would highly recommend this facility to anyone that likes the family feel!
My children have been coming here for about 3 years now and they love it. The staff is very helpful! It is a great daycare.
I have 5 children that have been attending Just like home too daycare for about 3 years and they absolutely love it ! Miss. Virginia is very creative the holidays and birthdays come around ! They’ve basically helped me raise my kids 🙂
My son has been going here for almost a year now. I put him in when he was 2 years old, did not yet speak, and had not much social interaction. Only a few months of being in school he started speaking and counting! Now he doesn’t stop! The school is very organized and the teachers are very patient. My son accidentally calls me “Teacher” sometimes and I think it’s cute!
My girls have been going there for the past year and a half and they love it staff are friendly and good with my kiddos.
The daycare providers are great with my son. He always has a smile on his face when I pick him up.
The take GREAT care of my Baby…
